Developing an entrepreneurial mindset is something we hear so often, but rarely do we know exactly what that means. We are told to think positive thoughts, be optimistic and don’t give up. That all sounds good, but it’s not so easy for the individuals who are completely new to the industry.
One thing you must understand is that developing an entrepreneurial mindset is an ongoing process. It requires a training of the mind on a daily basis. I make a point often that anyone can make money.
However, it takes a specific way of thinking, believing and acting, in order for a person to remain consistent, despite of…and create real wealth. Most people give up as soon as times get tough. They quit when there is something new to learn. They throw in the towel when extra work and time are required.
Those types of entrepreneurs don’t have the type of mindset necessary to make it. As I stated earlier, it is a process. Each day, you must commit to spending time with yourself…to pray, to mediate and be in your own thoughts. This helps you to gain an awareness of your thought patterns and actions. You become clear about the type of people who should and should not, be in your space. You will begin to embrace change instead of fearing it.
Every day you have to take action by stepping out of your comfort zone and actually DOING the activities needed to get you to where you are going. Excuses cannot exist. If you don’t know how to do something, you have to find a way, or seek out someone who can assist you. If there is a strategy or method you must apply to enhance your efforts, you have to take responsibility for those things.
Realize that whatever you feed your mind will grow. If you are constantly surrounding yourself with negative people, images, and ideas, you are going to be negative and you are setting yourself up for failure. If the people you listen to and associate with on a regular basis are all struggling financially, so will you. Like attracts like.
If you are truly passionate about entrepreneurship, you have to make changes. It is a must that you develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Read books and listen to audios by people you aspire to be like. Educate yourself, expand your mind and apply what you learn to you life and business.
