Back in 2009, is when I officially launched a blog to promote my business. I was brand new to blogging, didn’t have a following (not even a Facebook account), and made a decision that in order to get myself noticed, this was going to be the way to do it!
I treated that blog like a business. It was my business because it’s how I was able to attract consulting clients. It’s how I built a loyal readership and community of amazing women (many of whom I’ve developed great relationships with, have collaborated with in business, and are still connected with to this day!)
It was also the platform I used to launch my first information product, as well as earn additional income from promoting affiliate products.
Fast forward to today…blogging is still my primary method for getting “found” online by people who are looking for what I have to offer, and earn an income from my home.
Guess what? The same can happen for you!
According to Brendon Bruchard, Personal Development Trainer & Author, “The most successful entrepreneurs will be content creators, trainers, coaches, and online information marketers who help others survive and thrive.”
Simply put, if you are not producing content with the intent to educate, train and inspire people…you are definitely doing yourself a major disservice, and your business online will take the hit.
Most people shy away from starting a blog because they think it’s too difficult, or they don’t know what to talk about, or that they just don’t have the time. But truth be told, most of those individuals are spending countless hours…on Facebook and other social media sites, every day.
If you convert that same amount of energy into blogging for business, you will start to see a better ROI from the time you spend developing your official, space online.

Another reason you may have not started a blog yet, is because you simply do not know how. Believe me, it’s not as hard as you think.
Before you start to concern yourself with; what you should blog about, do you have enough time, or worrying that you aren’t a good writer…you must get your blog set up.
