In true entrepreneur spirit I own more than one business. In my second business I build custom cakes and plan kids parties. I love to host events as I am very creative, ambitious and I love helping others.
Tell us about your business: The online store that we are partnered with specializes in Just in time manufacturing and direct sales without the use of multi levels of distribution. Its US based, debt free and has a 95% customer return monthly. For the past 5 years we have been product advocates.
What inspired you to start your business? When deciding to start my business I wanted something simple, that anyone could do and was low maintenance for the times I may need to tend more to my family. I wanted to be paid for the work I did and not have to beg someone for time off if I needed. I knew what ever it was it had to be stable, reliable and real! Ive always been the type to follow the road less traveled. I wanted to work around my life instead of living around my work.
What is your favorite quote or saying? “The truth is good enough”
What is ONE business goal you are currently working on achieving? One of my biggest goals is to be able to sell my home and move to a warmer climate.
What was a challenge you faced in your business and how did you overcame it? Feeling like I’m not a sales person. And I’m not! I love to talk and network and share what I know. When I looked at the fact that I am so blessed to have such a wonderful business, why wouldn’t I want to tell everybody! Give them a fair chance to feel how I feel.
What would you say contributes to your success? Jesus Christ!
What advice would you give an aspiring woman entrepreneur? Do you! Do what works for your family, your life, what make sense to you. Don’t worry about the naysayers. So what! When others start investing in your family like you do then maybe you consider their opinion. Maybe! This world is not one size fits all.
Are there any projects you are currently working on? My biggest project right now is home-schooling my four babies 🙂
