Have you been looking for a way to earn money online without recruiting other people?
Are you seeking a way to get paid from your efforts without feeling pushy?
Before you search any further, you must decide one of two things…
1. If you want a JOB that you can work from home, or
2. If you want a Home Based Business where recruiting is not required to earn a generous income.
Having a work at home job will give you a little more flexibility than a traditional job, however, your time is still not your own. If you are okay with having a set schedule and working for a boss, click here for more information and resources to get started.
When some people hear the words, Network Marketing, they automatically get a bad idea in their mind. Most of the time it is because they are greatly missed informed, or have heard negative stories from those who’ve had little, or no success.
The truth is, starting a network marketing business has great benefits, especially because it doesn’t require a college education or tons of experience.
In fact, I came across an interview by, Jack Canfield (affectionately known as “America’s #1 Success Coach,” and the originator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul® series.)
In the video, He shares his views on the value of the industry as a whole.
Have you noticed how more and more women are starting home based businesses?
Even in my own network circle, I’ve seen a shift in the number of moms who have decided to go full-time, working from home in 2014 alone.
To be honest, I love it!
It made me want to do a little research just to see for myself, how much the industry is growing.
Here is what I discovered…
- According to the Direct Selling Association, in 2013, the direct selling sales force increased 5.7% to 16.8 million in 2013, a record high. Get this, even during the height of the recession, the home based industry experienced a surge of new direct selling independent representatives.
Some people start a home based network marketing business and choose the slow and steady path. Yet others dive in and go hard and fast…which is better?
Well, in my opinion it’s a matter of preference.
I’ve been on both sides of the fence and can say, in my experience, slow and steady will win the race…eventually. But the question is, why wait?
Most people I talk to who are ready to start in network marketing want to start making money quickly. However, the majority of them start pretty slow.
Why is that?
Perhaps they lack the confidence to go full force.
Maybe they aren’t ready because they haven’t been trained.
WARNING: This post is not for everyone. So, if you are closed minded, limited in your thinking, and don’t get why someone would want to relinquish their “security” in a regular job, I invite you to click away now…
I’m sharing my beliefs and thoughts on when a job is not an option for those of us with the entrepreneurial spirit.
I can tell you, I’ve had numerous JOBS and could never stay put in one for very long (the longest was a miserable 6 months). I did everything from being an in-home daycare provider, nursing assistant/home health care, to working in retail, housekeeping, administrative assistant, and customer service.
Many individuals looking to start a home based business often choose a Network Marketing company because it offers average people, an affordable way to go into business without requiring any experience or formal educational, unlike a traditional business.
There are many companies that offer independent representatives or distributors, the opportunity to earn commissions on products and services they sell. These direct sales companies such as; Mary Kay, TLC or Melaleuca, offer women a way to be able to earn a part time or full time income, from home in their spare time.
You’ve heard it before, Network Marketing, Direct Sales, MLM, Opportunity…Scam, Pyramid Scheme. Just a few common names used to define a home based business opportunity by individuals and skeptics alike.
There happens to be a great misconception surrounding the Network Marketing industry. Primarily due to lack of understanding, or even pure ignorance. However, despite what you may have heard, Network Marketing is in fact, a legitimate home based business model.
The MLM Scam…
Now, don’t get me wrong, there are some companies out there passing themselves off as reputable which gives the other solid companies, a bad reputation. The easiest way to recognize a true pyramid scheme is not based on the triangular structure, but if there is an actual product or service being sold.
What’s the one question a work at home mom wants to know from me?
“How do you manage being a work at home mom with seven kids?”
The answer is really simple…I just do it! Of course, that is not what people really want to hear…they want to know exactly what it is I do.
I have a BIG reason why I do what I do. It is the main reason I made the decision to truly pursue entrepreneurship back in June 2002.
That fact is, I’m a REAL mom and my reason WHY is my 7 children! I can’t see myself being anything other than a full-time mom to them.
Building a business online or offline requires a decent amount of effective networking…would you agree?
Networking is about connecting with new people and reconnecting with others, on a regular basis. When done right, it is a great way to leverage the connections you make and helps you grow your business.
I’m sure we each have our own ways and methods for meeting new people and eventually sharing our business, but are some ways more effective than others?
My answer is YES…
I have owned a home based business since 2002. I’ve been an internet entrepreneur since 2009. In those years, I have met a lot of amazing people (and a few not so amazing). I have received some of the most heart-tugging emails you could imagine, and some of the craziest too.
The Internet can appear to be a FRAUD.
Day after day, all you see are tons of ads. All over Facebook, all over Google, on Instagram, everywhere. Promising you can make thousands in cash flow, even residual income following a system. And, I agree…you do need a system in place.
The thing is, lots of people are claiming you don’t have to do any work. Apparently, you can do absolutely nothing and still make a ton of money on the internet…how cool is that!?!
How often have you heard or saw, these kinds of claims?
NO selling, and still make sales.
NO recruiting, and still make sales.
NO talking to people, and still make sales.
