What does it mean to respect your mind exactly?
Well, forgive me as I go on a little rant, as I explain…
You are an entrepreneur, yes?
Entrepreneur is defined as: a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.
How you interrupt this is up to you, but for me…it clearly means that an entrepreneur is someone who…1) operates one or more businesses, and 2) in doing so, risks making a lot of money, or no money at all.
When I first started my business, one question I asked myself was, “what do you bring to the table?”
I was really nervous about putting myself out there because in my mind, I was a nobody. I didn’t have any kind of following, I didn’t have a name or brand for myself, heck…I didn’t even have a Facebook account.
It felt kind of intimidating, but I knew that in order to build my business online, I had to start somewhere. For me, that meant being clear about knowing what I bring to the table.
It’s All About Giving Value
How often do you hear the phrase, you have to give value?
Do you ever notice how entrepreneurship is steadily becoming almost as structured and rigid as a traditional job?
So many becoming less of an unconventional entrepreneur and instead, fitting into the new box.
With more and more “experts” emerging, and telling teaching us how to be an entrepreneur, it’s no wonder so many people are never fully able to launch their dream.
Their vision has become distorted by all the must have’s and must do’s, to be successful.
Don’t get me wrong, there are good, and even better ways to do things in the realm of entrepreneurship. But, by no means should anyone be telling you what can’t be done when it comes to the vision you have.
How many times have you wished you had ‘more time in the day’ to get more things done?
Reality is, we all have the same 24 hours, but how you spend those hours makes all the difference.
Many entrepreneurs feel like they must work around the clock because they have to get things done. Not realizing that if they just slowed down and focused, they could get crystal clear about what their primary goals are, and be able to identify the activities that should be priority.
What it all boils down to is not really needing more time, but needing more clarity.
