Declare Your Destiny

Declare Your DestinyCan you believe that the last month of 2014 is upon us?

Are you ready and prepared to take your life and business to the next level?

December is all about making the decision to Declare Your Destiny!

If you have been stagnant or struggling in certain areas of your life and business, it’s time to do something about it. You can either continue to make excuses, or choose to make a change. Right now, you may be thinking about all the negative situations that are happening in your life. Now is when you must begin to take back control over your thoughts.

Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.
– Willie Nelson

Is This Your Season To Transition?

How many times have you questioned or wondered why you were experiencing the things that were going on in your life? It may feel like turmoil, it could be negativity, or any combination of challenges.

What you have been doing up until this point may seem like it is no longer serving the original purpose. You may be feeling a shift in direction…but for one reason or other, you are hesitant. Perhaps even resistant all together.

During the first half of this year, that is exactly what I was going through. It was my season for transition. Even though I didn’t quite recognize it at first, it became clear after I gave myself some time to process.

Having the Right Mindset for Business Matters

Mindset for BusinessThe truth is, if your mindset for business is not right, no amount of coaching, consulting or mentoring will help you succeed. Only you have the ability to adjust and change it. If your hope is to thrive in business, it is crucial for you to manage your mindset.

The main reason why so many women entrepreneurs struggle to get their businesses off the ground is surprisingly, not money. It is the self-sabotaging thoughts, attitudes and beliefs they have placed upon themselves. It is the limited intentions, expectations and habits they have grown accustomed to in their lives.

Entrepreneurs Don’t Complain They Make Changes

Entrepreneurs Don't ComplainThis post is…well, a personal rant. YES, I’m about to get under your skin. But so what, I don’t care. If I don’t tell you like it is, who will? To be quit frank, I’m sick and tired of hearing all these excuses.

“I don’t have time to market my business.”

“I don’t have enough money to start my business.”

“I can’t afford to hire you right now.”

“I don’t know what to do.”

Blah, Blah, Blah…

Honestly, I know I’m going to lose some of my readers and I’m probably going to get a few unsubscribes…but SO WHAT. I’m tired of the whiners and complainers. You think I don’t know how hard it is to start a business online? You think I don’t know it takes DETERMINATION? You think I don’t know it requires discipline and commitment?

Fear or Victory, the Choice is Yours

Erase FearIt doesn’t matter if you believe it or not, but if your focus is based around fear, you will not have victory in your life or business. Victory is defined as: An act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition…

How do you plan to defeat fear and claim victory moving forward? I can certainly promise you it won’t be an easy task, however; it first starts with a simple decision. The choice is yours.

Fear or Victory…which do you choose?

As an entrepreneur, we cannot allow self-sabotaging beliefs to cloud our thinking, nor unintentional, yet premeditated defeats. Those “things” are better known as excuses.

Excuses are really fears we’ve determined to justify. (Tweet This)

Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

Steve Jobs“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary” – Steve Jobs

This quote is one of my absolute top favorites because it resonates with me so well. As a young girl, I knew I was meant to be an entrepreneur (even before I really knew the word ‘entrepreneur’). I remember being 10 and 11 years old imagining myself sitting at a desk, doing paperwork, with my own business working from home.

Is This Your Time to Shift and Transition in Order to Grow?

small business growthAre you familiar with that “feeling”? You know the one, the somewhat restless, unshakable stirring in your spirit. That feeling that makes you almost question what it is you are doing and if in fact, it is what you are supposed to be doing?

Have you ever felt stuck in place? When everything you are doing to create change in your life and in the lives of those you desire to help seems to have come to a stand still?

When you decide to give in to that “feeling” and allow yourself to just BE…you are able realign and recognize, it is time for transition. In these sometimes undesirable and uncomfortable times, growing pains if you will, are very necessary for us to experience a shift that requires us to grow.

Legendary Frankie Beverly Inspires Music and Entrepreneurship

Last night I watched the 2012 BET Awards all the way through to the end. Usually, I have a difficult time staying engaged because I don’t keep up with all these new young artists popping up on the scene. Mostly because I don’t understand a word they are saying.

But even so, my Twitter feed was live. Full of grown-ups also watching the awards which kept me entertained during the boring parts. I would have to say there were two highlights of the show, the heartwarming tribute to Whitney Houston and the Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Frankie Beverly and Maze for their unforgettable contribution to music.

Your Business is NOT a Game, So Why Are You Playing?

business woman playing chessI don’t normally post to many articles as direct as this one is, but when I get that push in my spirit…I know I need to be obedient. This post is primarily directed to those of you who have a business or just starting a business and don’t want to face the reality of why you are not making any money.

In my opinion and experience, it is simply because you are not ready to be real with yourself. You are not willing to accept the fact that you have to DO something to make it happen.

Being an Effective Perfectionist in Business

PerfectionistMost of us strive to be effective in our business, it’s a no-brainer right? But how effective are your business practices, really? In all honesty, if you are not successfully achieving your intended results, you simply aren’t being effective in your business.

So many entrepreneurs go on and on struggling, not realizing that their busyness is not only unproductive but ineffective because they are wasting time doing things that are meaningless, or low priority tasks in their business.

This was a big struggle for me for a long time. I assumed because I was making some money, what I was doing was effective – which was partially true. You see, I happen to suffer from a debilitating illness that quit a few entrepreneurs suffer from and it can sometimes negatively impact the way we operate on a daily basis.
