There really is a different mindset between a network marketer, and an entrepreneur business owner. The difference can impact the bottom line of one.
As a business mentor, I work primarily with network marketers. They have a different approach to doing business which can sometimes affect them, in a negative way.
It’s not really their fault. Believe me, I get it. I’ve been in the home business space since 2002.
Most in our space are simply doing what they’ve been taught to do. No matter how much they struggle to get any significant results, they still hold on to those teachings, without question.
But, at what point should you stop and say, “this isn’t working…I need to be doing something different.”
Do you currently have a methodology, or a set of procedures in place for how you grow your business online? Don’t worry if you don’t, it’s not hard to design.
I consider myself to be very detail oriented, and need systems and structure in my business, in order to do the things that need to be done on a daily basis. I may be a little OCD with it, but hey…it’s what works for me!
And, that’s the point.
You have to create a method, or a set of procedures, that help you stay focused on the day to day operations of your business.
What is my business methodology?
When business owners or entrepreneurs hear the term marketing system, so many get turned off without really understanding the value of having a system.
Obviously there are a ton of marketers who are promoting these “must have” systems, only to make a buck. 8 times out of 10, the reason you believe you don’t need a system is because those are the ones you’ve probably come across, and who put a bad taste in your mouth.
Here’s the thing…
In the business world, everything is not bad. There are just people doing bad things to cause you to feel some kind of way.
If you are building online, you are probably looking for a simple way to get free leads for your business.
It’s no secret that you need people to talk to about what you are selling. Approaching complete strangers can be a little intimidating, especially if you are new to marketing.
The good news is, it doesn’t have to be hard at all!
When you think about the product or service you offer, and determine who will benefit from it the most, your marketing becomes a bit more easier.
You just have to focus on giving the right people, the right information, at the right time. The best way to do that is to get prospects on your email list .
If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed, or burnt out in your business, it’s time to take a brief pause, and get back to the basics.
Don’t feel bad, all entrepreneurs get off track at times.
What’s important is that you recognize when things aren’t going quite right so you can make improvements.
Most times, it’s because we are doing way too much. We get so busy watching everyone else doing what they do. It gets us thinking, ‘maybe I should be doing that too.’
Next thing you know, you have veered so far off course, and didn’t even notice.
You forgot to keep it simple. You know, keeping the main thing…the main thing.
Being an entrepreneur is not easy…by any means.
It’s scary. It’s risky. And, it’s hard.
At the same time…
It’s exciting. It’s rewarding. And, it’s liberating.
But again, there is nothing easy about being an entrepreneur, no matter how some make it look. It may take years, and years before you see any significant income.
So, before you attempt to go down this road, ask yourself this…
“Am I seriously willing to give 1000% of my energy to this, even if I don’t make a dime?”
Yea, think about that for a minute.

Well, forgive me as I go on a little rant, as I explain…
You are an entrepreneur, yes?
Entrepreneur is defined as: a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.
How you interrupt this is up to you, but for me…it clearly means that an entrepreneur is someone who…1) operates one or more businesses, and 2) in doing so, risks making a lot of money, or no money at all.
