As business blogging becomes more and more popular, many small business owners who have taken their businesses online, are beginning to realize the powerful connection of capturing their market with a blog.
As simple as it sounds, there is a bit more to it than putting up a blog and posting about your phenomenal products and amazing services.
To attract clients with your blog, you should focus on sharing as opposed to selling. Allow your readers to feel you out and learn more from you and about you.
Here are 3 ways to attract your ideal clients with your blog
Be Honest with Yourself – Just because “Nancy” and “Jessica” have dubbed themselves ” A ______________ Consultant” doesn’t mean you can become one too because you see, they are pulling in clients and making some good money. If you want to attract clients to your blog, you want to do so for the right reason. Instead of focusing on how much money you could make doing what everyone else is doing, focus instead, on what YOU are really good at….then run with it!
Think about the things you love to do, the things you are good at doing. What do people come to you about for help or advice?
BE About What You Know – You know the saying, “Don’t talk about it, Be about it”. If you want to attract clients to you with your blog, you have to honestly BE about what you know. It is unrealistic to start a business you have very little skill around and expect for people to want to work with you.
We are in the age of technology and if you think someone is not going to do their research and Google your name or your company before they decide to work with you, you are sadly mistaken. It is not enough to claim you are an expert or experienced in a certain field, you have to be willing to display social proof or back up your claims with testimonials from satisfied clients and customers.
Speak to Whom You Want to be Your Clients – Though it may seem obvious, the key to attracting clients with your blog is to deliver content that speaks to them. This requires you to remain focused on a particular topic or subject matter that is of interest to them.
Your blog should address problems and provide solutions, offer tips and strategies that offer resolution. When you learn who your clients are, you can easily create content that is attractive to them.
